Ingredients :
- 2 bagels, halved
- 4 tbsp Pizza Sauce - Cirio
- 100 g Mozzarella Cheese - Nonno Nanni, grated
- 50 g cooked sausage (chicken/beef), crumbled
- 1 small green pepper, finely diced
- 1 tsp Oregano - Bella Italia
- 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil - Euromercato
Method:
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (180°C fan) or Gas Mark 6. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Prepare the bread base.
- Place the halved bread rolls or bagels on the baking tray, cut side up. Drizzle each half lightly with olive oil.
- Spread the sauce; spread 1 tablespoon of Cirio pizza sauce on each bread base.
- Add the toppings
- Sprinkle grated mozzarella over the sauce. Top with crumbled sausage and diced green pepper. Add a pinch of dried oregano if desired.
- Place the tray in the oven and bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your bagels hot!
- For variety, swap sausage and peppers for mushrooms, sweetcorn, or pepperoni.
- Add a drizzle of hot sauce or pesto for extra flavour.
