The Terre Francescane mono-varietal extra virgin olive oil is produced with a single variety of olive - the Moraiolo.
It is the first plant to have been cultivated on the hills by the Franciscan friars in the year 1000. Its name, also called "Muraiolo" derives from "muro", because it is a plant that can grow and produce even on rocky and impervious.
The olive produced by the Moraiolo plant is small and produces a very low quantity of oil, but with a strong aroma.
